This is a really great portrait because it both conveys an impression of alecia using her entire body language, but also makes the face the most visually interesting object without being too obvious about it. Somehow, you made her eyes look bigger or more prominant, which is very striking and captures an endearing moment. Nifty! |

Hey Chip. I love the clarity and near tangibility of the textures across the entire depth of field: it's as if I can touch the strands of hair, the smoothness of the pant material against the short plush of the velveteen and the rough couch pillows. Every time I look at it, though (and this may be the scan), I keep wanting more definition in her face. What happens to her nose line, I keep wondering? But the thing is, if you burned her face more, it wouldn't contrast as nicely against the rest of the image. Did you do any others? |

I agree with Talia--I would like to see more definition in Alecia's face, both in this picture and in the previous one.
Otherwise, I really like both of them. |
