Hardwood |
Is this all you are-- |
A blankly smiling, dull-eyed china doll? |
Am I only a thoughtless child to you? |
What if this "thoughtless child" played with her new toy? |
She isn't very graceful yet, you know. |
If she should drop you onto the hardwood of her bedroom floor, |
would you live? |
Would you crack at that heavily concealed seam, |
broken but fixable? |
Or would you entire fragile being shatter |
into pieces for the toddler to put into her mouth? |
Would that help the world? |
