all at the same time.

They laugh through their tears

until they cry again for no perceptible reason.

They support as they tear down

they go to war as they sign treaties.

They kill in the name of a peace-loving god.

They spread their ideals

as if they were the universe's only intelligent life.

They haven't yet brought themselves to extinction

despite all this.

tasha: *g* Ah yes, I remember writing on subjects like these (in a similar syle, even) when I was your age - this and the "personals" piece. I don't mean to belittle you in the slightest...I just got a little nostalgic, hearing the familiar voice...I might as well tell you now, the nature of humanity will continue to baffle you - might as well embrace it ; ] (yup, thery're weird, but they sure are funny!); and few boys will be as sentient as you need them to be when you're at that age (or, at least, it takes a while to find the ones that will open up that part of themselves, and you're in a place that seeks so much truth now...). It all gets better...or at least...more interesting... ; ]. *okay, vague maternal/big-sisterly inclinations off*
