I really like this... and so do my coworkers. I printed a copy to post in my new office, and I think that it might end up out in the larger workroom! |

tasha:
Eeep!
I should have put my signature on it. |

kathleen:
i too wanted to print it. i thought it was clever, orginal and funny. |

cgroom:
Yay! This rocks. Not a useful comment, sure, but I like it. :) |

tasha:
Oh yeah, that's reeeeally helpful ; ]. I think I'm going to do a third draft (this is actually the second) based on input I've gotten from other folks. It has more to do with layout and aesthetic concerns than content at the moment. So, if you want a paper copy of your own, give it a week or so and it will be more purty (right now the 6th panel comes out with dots all over it, as well as a couple of other details that make my cut and paste-ing obvious. |

brantley:
I think this is hilarious. Although I think you might want to just keep the first three panels. I think it's almost funnier with just those. Has a kind of "red meat" feel to it. |
|
tasha:
Well, I don't want to just be a Red Meat imitator now, do I ; ]? I think the silence and timing of the middle panels are important, as is the literary 'wink' at the end. I mean, part of passive agressiveness it the excruciating wait, the long moments between times when one expresses oneself, and the suppressed yet meaningful release. Not that I would know anything about that ; ]. |

mwirth:
Tasha, this is beautiful. I think we all see ourselves in that goldfish. I agree that the drawn-out blowing-bubble panels, and the last panel, add to the effect. I would keep the viewpoint exactly the same as we are following the bubble upwards, though, so we can still see the fish, and the bowl is centered in the panel, exactly like before, to emphasize the monotony and the patheticness of the fish's attempt to change the universe. Also, why the "GRR"? I think the tiny "pop" might be enough there. |
|
tasha:
Thanks! Good to get comments from someone who's done a lot of really cool comic-y stuff ; ]. Good thought about the grrr/pop panel...I'll think about that. |
