Author's Note:

I love watching the little counter go up...and then I delete and it goes...oh, wait, no it doesn't go down. Lame. Uh, anyway, I live in New York and like lots of comments on my works. I make a lot of music and write a lot of things and try not to post too many of them. I hope my comments are helpful.

Finally got some free time and whipped this up last night. The backing sounds kind of Stravinskyish (?) I think. Thoughts?

Here's a little short-short I wrote one night about ugly girls and pretty girls and my attitude towards them. Might end up being the text for a song, I'm unsure.

12 songs that helped me be the person I am.

A short-short about Washington and teenagers and bodily fluids that might become another spoken-word thing. Unsure if it's horribly lame or not, but it's fun to read aloud.

Firecrackers (JFK #1), 18 May 2002 (Modified 01 Jul 2002 10:17 am) ; 5 comments

Ambient/found sound piece that's probably going to be the first in a series, so feedback would be very welcome.

Without a Body, It All Starts To Fade, 25 April 2002 (Modified 09 May 2002 9:27 pm) ; 12 comments

A story about a Japanese widow inspired heavily by Haruki Murakami's Underground, and mildly inspired by a bunch of other things. Very much a first draft, and begging for comments, though keep in mind that I just wrote the last 3 sections in the last two

Death Got Young - The Musical!, 17 March 2002 (Modified 03 Apr 2002 12:19 pm) ; 8 comments

The "long awaited" musical version of the below-critiqued prose piece. Uh, it didn't exactly come out synth-pop--more like moody violiny. I'm more than happy to try different versions, but here's one. Let me know what you think.

REVISED. Lengthened, rearranged, and cut a slight bit. Plus, in a fit of experimentalism, I decided to add footnotes and use the Skein commenting system to do it, so all thoughts on that would be great.

More of the same. Useful to read in sequence.

What the title says; stories 1-6. More to come if there's interest.

Posessors of "Malicious Impregnation" will see this as quite a departure as it's very much not lo-fi. Kind of a punk-rock nursery rhyme (the post-millenial "Blitzkrieg Bop"?) with a Tigerbeat-y, very electro backing. It's best to listen to this with headphones, as I was mixing without monitors and the vocals came through low; the lower voice should be the "lead," so turn the bass up a bit, too.

Half techno, half plunderphonics: I start by electroquoting my own pieces, then move on to others'. Incorporates "A Noisy Dog", "Can I Borrow Your Car", Jerry Falwell's "the ACLU caused the WTC attack" rant, and a, er, "cover" of Paranoid Android. Enjoy.

A hard-rockin' improvised guitar piece with real-time drum samples. I could use some thoughts on cutting it down.

prose

Untitled (Henry Kissinger Takes His Grandson), 25 September 2001 (Modified 13 Dec 2001 12:16 pm) ; 9 comments

Something I just threw together. The full title, if it were more accurate, would be "Henry Kissinger takes his grandson to the Museum of Natural History." Comments appreciated.

Try 2, after the kind and prompt bug fixes. I'd very much like commentary on arrangement, lyrics, and style.

poetry

Allen Ginsberg Fucks Little Boys, 21 September 2001 (Modified 21 Sep 2001 3:05 pm)

The first poem I've written in years; might as well post it here.
