What do I have against philosophers?

I actually do not hate all philosophers.

I just hate most of them.

I have found that people who spend too much time discussing theories of reality, language, politics, and above all, good human interactions, tend to get so wrapped up in their theories that they start to mistake reality for their theory. Rather than react to what is around them, they filter all of reality through their theories. You get the sense that the intellectual excercise has gone too far when such a person ceases to fine tune their pet theories according to experiece, but rather they twist reality to fit their imperfect theories. They use big words to categorize everyday experience according to schema developed by disillusioned and very dead Europeans, but they do it with a big, shit-eating ironic grin that lets you know that this is all just a joke... but it isn't a joke, not really.

Bah! Reality is not an intellectual construction. Theory is all well and good, but it should be a tool and not a lifestyle.
